SCE’s Advanced Waveform Anomaly Recognition System (AWARE) received an Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Edison Award, the electric power industry’s highest honor. Using AI and machine learning to proactively detect grid issues, AWARE analyzes waveform data to detect abnormalities and pinpoint equipment failures. This helps operators accelerate restoration, improving safety, reliability, affordability and customer satisfaction.
