- Hedge
- A transaction that is made to partially or fully reduce risk exposure due to uncertain or volatile spot market prices. For example, SCE would enter into a bilateral contract to buy energy at a set price when it expects the price of energy to be much greater in the spot market.
- Hot Conductor
- A term used to refer to a conductor or wire which is energized.
- Hydroelectric Plant
- A generating facility that uses falling water as the source of fuel to produce electricity. See renewable energy.
