Jeff Barnett is vice president of Tax for Edison International, responsible for managing tax matters for Edison International and its subsidiaries.

Barnett joined Edison in 2006 as vice president of Tax for Edison Misson Group, the competitive power generation subsidiary of Edison International.

Before joining Edison, Barnett was the director of Tax and chief tax executive for Arizona Public Service and Pinnacle West Capital Corp. based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Barnett is active in several tax organizations including the Edison Electric Institute where he is a member of the Tax Committee and also serves on the Tax Analysis and Research Subcommittee. He is a past chairman of both committees. Barnett is a member of the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) where he currently serves the Corporate Tax Committee, and previously served as a national vice president of TEI. Barnett is a currently on the Board and Executive Committee for the California Taxpayer’s Association. 

Barnett holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University; an MS in Business Taxation from the University of Illinois; an MBA from Bradley University with an emphasis in quantitative methods and statistics; and is a graduate of the Corporate Finance Executive Program at the University of Michigan.

In addition, Barnett is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager.
